   Good quality Steel, good craftsmanship - plastics leach into the food with heat. This does not - and can be hand washed or washed by the dishwasher. I am pleased with this - it makes removing meat or fish from the Microwave easy - after cooking in glass or ceramic. I think you will like it. I do, this is one of the best items I have purchased from Amazon. Worth the price - you can hand this down to your grandchildren.

   I bought this because it's good for turning over your fish when frying without breaking it into pieces. Also turning over your grilled cheese before the cheese has melted enough to stick to the bread. I usually have to flip things over in the frying pan fast when using a regular spatula, but this tool allows you to do it slowly and not spatter grease all over your stove. It's excellent quality. Not too heavy, not too light.
